Founded in May 2024 by a Tokyo-born founder, Cherepos Artes is on the path to becoming a certified non-profit foundation in Costa Rica by March this year. Our mission is to provide free art education to the local community, focusing on sustainability through the use of local clay and nurturing young talent through our internship program.

We envision Cherepos Artes as a mecca for ceramics, where artists from around the world can come to explore the joy and spiritual side of pottery. Inspired by the natural beauty here, we’re creating a space where local interns gain exposure to world-class potters, creating a vibrant exchange of ideas and creativity. In a region known mostly for surfing, we’re bringing a new creative dimension and a future where artists are represented and celebrated.
